  3. Welcome to the Quake Toolkit CDROM!
  4.  
  5. This CDROM contains 68 megabytes in 929 files.  Included on the CD are
  6. programs that will let you get the most out of Quake.  Files such as 66
  7. add on levels, add on graphics files and over 111 utility programs to let
  8. you use them.  Documentation on playing and editing Quake, and Frequently
  9. Asked Questions are are also on the CD.  This disc should provide you
  10. with hours of enjoyment.

  59. Quick Start Instructions:
  60.  
  61.   Windows 3.1\NT:
  62.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  63.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  64.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
  65.  
  66.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  67.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  68.     Example:
  69.           C:\> D:
  70.           D:\> view
  71.  
  72.   Windows 95:
  73.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  74.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  75.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  76.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  77.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.

  79. Using the 00_INDEX.HTM:
  80.  
  81. We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web browser
  82. to view our disc.

  84. In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point your
  85. Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.

  87. For example, in Netscape\Mosaic:
  88.  
  89.         1) Choose File\Open File (or File\Open Local File with Mosaic)
  90.         2) Choose your CDROM Drive under "Drives"
  91.         3) Select the 00_index.htm file
  92.         4) Click on OK
  93.  
  94. The 00_index.htm files have been tested under Netscape 1.1 (Windows,
  95. Macintosh, and FreeBSD), Netscape 1.22 (Windows), Netscape 2.0b2,
  96. Mosaic 2.00 (Final Beta), and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  100. WinView and View
  101.  
  102. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
  103. for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs
  104. allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
  105. CD, view documentation and uncompress\install the program(s) you want
  106. onto your hard disk.

  110. Shareware

  112. This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can
  113. be considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are
  114. expected to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the
  115. program or image useful.  You will find details of registration
